It's been nearly 1 1/2 years since I last touched this blog. I was living the LIFE in Hong Kong, probably the best time of my life. Now, 1 1/2 years later, I am a middle school teacher in South Central Los Angeles. Who would have known? Now is the new chapter of my life and so it begins...
Today, I read my first period class's end of the year reflection letters to me. While reading through the letters (plenty of misspellings and incomplete sentences...it's sad), I couldn't help but pump my fist in the air and feel pretty excited to witness the transformation of my students from start to finish. I really thought about the word to summarize my feelings...happy...satisfied...content...excited...success...I couldn't grasp a single word. There are too many feelings inside so I simply patted my own back and said to myself: "2nd year...bring it!" A light bulb went off and I just realized that I will show my new students these letters to inspire them (great classroom management strategy)
It's way pass my bedtime so I'm out. Night!
