Haaaave You Met...WT: It's been awhile...

It's a bad habit of mine. Everything is moving so rapidly that I'm not taking the time to reflect. By the time I start to reflect, I forget about everything that I was thinking about. Is this just me or does this happen to everyone? Any advice or solutions, or do I just need to slow everything down and breathe.

So what was I thinking about that propelled me to blog? See that's the problem...I forgot what I was thinking about. Anyways, let's talk about UniCamp.

UniCamp WALL- Hiked up Mt. San Gorgonio, all 11,503 ft! In retrospect, WALL was an awesome experience; a great mix of camp and hiking. All 11 campers made it to the top! I'm not going to lie, but it was tough getting all the campers motivated to go to the top. There was plenty of complaining, but in the end, we made it! This was the first year where I really had to work to motivate the campers. Each year, I was blessed to have the majority of my campers be self-motivating and whatnot, but this year, I had to really work to keep the campers into the "camp spirit." Towards the end of the week, I was ready to check out and go home. But after reflecting about the week, I couldn't have asked for a better bunch of campers. It added something different to my camp experience. I don't think I ever laughed so much and so hard at their jokes and freestyling. I am proud to be a part of Session 3 WALL 2009.
