On the mind...

A couple things:

1) LAUSD decides to fire all Fremont High School staff to build from the ground up. A lot of people are against this idea, especially the union, but I personally, think this should happen. For the sake of my students that feed into this high school, I think something needs to be done; straight and simple. As a matter of fact, most of my students go to this high school and I'm always discouraging them to find elsewhere, but in this community, where are they to go? Like Locke High School and several schools around the nation, this method of restructuring, supported by Arne Duncan, is necessary to get rid of all those pathetic, for a lack of a better term, tenured teachers. For those great teachers, they can reapply and get continue to make a positive difference. Read up here

2) How to shop for the opposite sex. Genius idea. Basically, go to a store and secretly follow around someone you think has style and look for the things he/she are looking at. For example, shopping for a girl but have absolutely no idea what to buy or where to start. What to do is find a hot girl in the store and take note what she is looking at. Then, retrieve the items. If you have balls, even strike up a conversation.

Another way to do this is find a sales associate and say "if I can give you a free shopping spree, what would you buy here." Sometimes, this can be risky if the associate is a shopaholic cause you might end up having to listen to her never-ending choices...

3) I should start lesson planning...
