Man, this happens every time...
Every time I end school or go off-track for vacation, I always become super busy. Whether it is cleaning my room, getting papers signed, LMU work (especially, I really regret getting that MA in Education btw), or random TFA work, I always feel overwhelmed with errands and work. I should be feeling great that I get vacation and time to relax, but don't. I just want to be chilling right now, but yet, I still have so much stuff to do...
It really takes away from the satisfaction feeling that everything is over. It hasn't hit me that I just finished 2 years of TFA. I haven't even gotten the chance to reflect my 2 years or read my students' letters. My life is speeding 180 mph right now...it needs to slow down.
Today was my actual last day of school. No students. Just a bunch of busy work and cleaning my room. Students came to visit me again today. It's funny when all the bad kids that hate school come and visit school when they don't have to. Strange...
Took two of my students to lunch today. We went to ESPN Zone across from Nokia Center. Man, that place is sooo crazy. TV's everywhere and a personal touch screen TV on your table. Awesome! My kids enjoyed it. I spent over $100 recently treating my students out to lunch and class parties this past week. But it's all worth it. I'm really gonna watch over them and help them grow!
Houston this Wednesday. Should be awesome.com! I'm excited to teach 3rd graders...
