what?!?!?

This is the same exactly teacher that has no classroom management whatsoever. Test scores extremely low. Prob one of the most painful observation I had to make as dept chair and the hardest discussion to have. Nonetheless, I was met with utter resistance from a stone wall. Couldn't do anything about it. Not even the admin could have helped. Here's the messed up thing about the education system. During the cuts last year, the highest-performing, most effective teachers got booted and only the tenure teachers got to stay. Hale is one of those tenure teachers that....you know. Let's just put it this way, if I were M Rhee, this teacher would have been long gone.

All that we've done in the classroom is slowly getting wiped out. A total regression. This is a tough feeling to shallow. I don't really know what to make of it; kinda feel guilty that I'm no longer in the classroom. Honestly, bad teachers set students behind 2 years. Here on out, it's catch up for them. Even when there is a hero like Rhee trying to fix the system, the odds are so overwhelming that even the best is forced to resign. Damn you Randy. When will this problem ever be fixed...
