The scores go down...

This is an email I got my one of my colleague at my former school...(I truncated some names to make it more confidential)

"so i met up with a couple of people from ed*** for dinner last night...they mentioned that periodic assessment scores have gone down for science...=( and ms. k (our principal) had said it was because she lost you, me and d**! wow...i don't know about my scores but not having yours must have definitely impacted the percentages! \(it's sad but at the same time, it's good to know we made some sort of difference"

Worst news ever...this is what I mean when our education is crap. Literally, displace the best science teachers and keep the tenured teachers and you get lower scores. My 7th graders, now 8th graders, say that their science teacher doesn't teach. She's the one that I honestly tried to help last year...hopeless. This is so disheartening...
